Premature Ejaculation

October 3rd, 2007

Premature ejaculation is the most common male sexual dysfunction and it is the most frequent problem in the way of satisfactory sexual relationships between men and women. There’s no specific medical standard for how long it should take a man to ejaculate. However, if you regularly ejaculate sooner than you and your partner wish - either before, or very quickly after, initiating intercourse - thereby causing distress to either one of you, you have the condition known as Premature Ejaculation.

Surveys have reported that 35 to 40% of all men, regularly ejaculate within 2 to 3 minutes or less, after vaginal penetration. Against this, the average woman needs at least 8 to 10 minutes of continuous stimulation to reach orgasm. Although this frustrating condition of premature or rapid ejaculation is a problem that affects millions of men around the world, relatively few seek professional treatment. But the good news is that this condition can be successfully treated.

Today there are several options available for solving this problem, so that both your partner and you can truly enjoy the pleasures of sexual intercourse. Don’t live with premature ejaculation - treatments, including medications (both non-prescription and prescription) and learning of sexual techniques to delay ejaculation, can improve the sexual experience for you and your partner.
